ASA Masters T-30 Results Whilst getting up on a rainy Saturday morning in January for training is rarely anyone’s idea of a perfect start to the day, eight of the Masters squad went one step further and ploughed a lonely 30 minute ‘max effort’ furrow as part of the ASA Masters T-30 contest (you may remember the email Kathryn sent around in earlier in the year inviting us all to take part). The T-30 is an annual competition ran by the ASA where swimmers simply see how far they can swim in half an hour. The swims are validated by having the lengths counted and splits recorded and then posted to the ASA who compile the results from across the country. COSC peformed well, coming away with two winners; Jo Eaton in the women’s 30-34 and Simon Joyce in the men’s 30-34 age group, and a bronze (Mike Whitworth in the men’s 50-54) in the National competition. COSC results in full: Women 30-34 1st Jo Eaton 2085m 35-39 7th Kirsty Harvey 1835m 40-44 6th Sophie Whitworth 1960m 60-64 =8th Barbara Kolbert 1450m
