Proposed new pool at Blackbird Leys

Chris Scotcher attended the "drop in" last week and spent well over an hour discussing the design of the new pool with the representative from MACE.

Chris will be representing the club at all meetings where possible as the project moves through its various phases. In this role, he will report back as necessary for the duration to both Committee and club. Secondly, one important outcome from the session is the opportunity for consultation facilitated through the following web link:

Masters Intercounties Results

Many COSC Masters swimmers made the trip down to Aldershot on 21st November to represent Oxon and North Bucks in the South East gala of the National Masters Intercounties. Despite finishing 7th out of the 7 counties at the South East gala, Oxon and North Bucks came 17th out of 29 counties nationally once all five regional galas were combined, improving on last year's placing of 20th, thanks to Team Manager Matt Gomez and his sterling work coordinating, coercing and cajoling the team.  The strength of the gala at Aldershot was illustrated as South East counties made up four of the top 7 counties nationally.

Results are now available through the 'Meet Info' section of this website.

Stand-out performances from Oxon and North Bucks swimmers who finished in the top 5 nationally were:

1st, Chris Aust, COSC, Men's 25yrs+ 50 breaststroke, 30.16

2nd, Chris Aust, COSC, Men's 25yrs+ 50 freestyle, 24.28

Barnet Copthall Masters 1500m Meet

Three COSC Masters braved the sub-zero temperatures to travel to Barnet last Saturday to take advantage of one of the few opportunities to swim 1500m outside of the Nationals.
